    The song is Sirius by the Alan Parsons Project. They play it at the start of Bulls games, etc.

    @tjdj01 Check up on some recent studies. It is not correct that “fats can only be burned through the Oxidative pathway”. I don’t claim to be an expert in the area of exercise or nutrition but I do hold a personal training certification and am currently studying exercise science in college.
    Review some up-to-date information and I’m confident you will see that you are incorrect. Gycolysis nets 2 ATP molecules, while the TCA cycle yields 36! This is of the utmost importance in relation to exercise

  8. tjdj01 says:

    @diamondd11 your wrong mate. Carbs can be burned through the glycolytic and oxidative pathways. Fats can only be burned through the oxidative pathways. Therefore cardio is a useful way of burning stored fat and still increase metabolism. However, weights are also pretty useful compared to just cardio. Once you have done cardio, your metabolism runs high for another hour or two after training. When you have done weights, it runs high for another 24 hours!! Gd way of burning more calories!

  16. jsmurray121 says:

    @diamond11 actually…. at resting and low intensity, fat is the main source of energy… it just takes longer to burn the same amount of calories of a harder intensity. Also low intensity has requires very little pain tolerance which is an important aspect for the majority of people trying to lose weight…. Not everyone trying to lose weight is an athlete used to high intensity training

  22. XzmazX says:

    @diamondd11 i actually meant like 10 minute runs at max, really fast sprint runs that burn lots of energy and are you sure that running burns mostly carbohydrates over fat? doesnt weight lifting do the exact same, burn carbs and then fat ?

  23. diamondd11 says:

    @XzmazX umm sorry dude but running is not the best for losing weight. Scientific studies have shown that jogging is not as effective at weight lifting. You burn more calories moving external objects than you do moving only your own body.

    Also, the metabolic pathway that dominate low power activities like running or jogging is the “oxidative” pathway. The Oxidative pathway is powered mostly by energy from carbohydrates, NOT from stored fat on the body.

  24. pune37tAnG says:

    @XzmazX thanx for da advice

  25. lezlitaz says:

    @SaveOtters try using pushup assists,they help keep your wrists straight…could be pinching something there.
